ThrowBack Tiong Bahru preserves the fading culture of traditional food through a spatial journey shaped by the community’s everyday behaviours and cultural rituals. By weaving together four significant sites in Tiong Bahru, the design brings visibility to local food heritage in a tangible and experiential way. It encourages people to slow down, engage with their surroundings, and rediscover tradition through moments of movement, memory, and shared experience—fostering a deeper appreciation for the stories behind each dish and space.
