A universal housing system that embodies metabolic principles by attaching to and invading the existing borderlines of the typical HDB slab block typology.
A universal housing system that embodies metabolic principles by attaching to and invading the existing borderlines of the typical HDB slab block typology.
This project proposes a universal, future-oriented housing system integrated into the existing HDB slab block typology. In Singapore’s approach to densification, we prioritise our aim to house people effectively while balancing liveability and comfort. Drawing on principles of metabolism, the design envisions buildings as living systems that can grow, change and adapt to the evolving nature of urban demands. It offers flexible and cost-effective solutions to support this spatial growth.
