Designed interruptions that reawaken human connection .

Set in the historic Dakota Crescent, this project reimagines a senior daycare centre by introducing spatial “interruptions” from passersby—children, joggers, and commuters—who gently activate the space. These interactions break the monotony of elderly routines, inviting warmth, spontaneity, and shared presence. Through subtle design strategies, the project transforms the space into a living environment where forgotten rhythms are revived and quiet coexistence becomes a daily choreography.

Eunsoo Kim sees design as a way of life and a tool for non-verbal communication. She begins each project from the user’s perspective, valuing emotional resonance, warmth, and coexistence. Her work aspires to create spaces that feel quietly intentional—where memory lingers, comfort unfolds, and the architecture is truly lived in.
